Job description

Purpose of Role

The purpose of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is to research and identify potential customers in the Logistic Solution & Supply Chain field. The SDR will identify sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound cold calls and emails. This role is responsible for understanding customer requirements and the supply chain/logistic and core solutions offered.

Areas of Accountabilities

Sales Sourcing

  • Source new sales opportunities with potential customers via phone, email, and social media to introduce Rehrig Pacific’s innovative Supply Chain solutions.
  • Schedule qualified leads and appointments for Territory Sales Managers documenting in CRM (salesforce).
  • Achieve weekly and monthly targets for leads and appointments set by leadership team.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to engage potential customers in collaboration with Marketing and sales managers.
  • Track and manage lead pipeline to ensure consistent flow of opportunities.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify high-potential leads and optimize outreach strategies.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Generate regular reports on outreach activities, lead conversion rates, and sales pipeline status. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Internal Process Improvement

  • Communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders on Supply Chain team through weekly meetings.
  • Qualify leads by understanding customer needs and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce.
  • Provide customer feedback to marketing, leadership, and sales teams to improve lead generation strategies and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop content and resources for effective lead nurturing.
  • Continuously update and refine outreach scripts and email templates based on customer interactions and feedback.

Self-Development and Growth

  • Engage in ongoing sales development training and development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge to further develop into a territory sales manager.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay informed about market developments.
  • Learn Rehrig Pacific’s 4 pillar portfolio. Core, Services, Material Handling and Technology offerings.
  • Technology Utilization: Stay updated with the latest sales tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency. Suggest new tools and technologies that could benefit the SDR team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in business administration, marketing, supply chain or manufacturing.
  • Strong ability to prospect and make cold calls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and results driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of our industry and products.
  • Familiarity with prospecting tools i.e., zoom navigator, etc.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools such as Salesforce.
  • 25% travelling by airplane to participate in Trade Shows, Customer Visits, and internal Company Gatherings
