Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team supporting a network of family-owned care homes in California.   • Master the intricacies of our QuickBooks Online system, becoming the go-to expert for financial data management
  • Orchestrate the accurate categorization of expenses, with a keen eye for detail in handling multiple credit/debit card transactions
  • Skillfully reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring our financial records are always up-to-date and error-free
  • Manage the unique cash-flow patterns of our residential and intermediate care facilities, processing both monthly and weekly income transactions
  • Craft clear, concise financial reports that provide actionable insights for business decision-making
  • Serve as a key communicator, liaising with supervisors to clarify transaction details and resolve any financial discrepancies
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of our growing business, potentially expanding your role to manage finances for additional care home locations


Requirements
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online or a demonstrated ability to quickly master new accounting software
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles, particularly cash basis accounting
  • Eagle-eyed attention to detail, with a talent for managing repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the ability to manage your own schedule
  • Self-motivated with the discipline to work remotely while maintaining high standards of productivity
  • Familiarity with healthcare or care home industry accounting is a plus, but not required – we value your accounting skills and willingness to learn our specific needs
