Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Brisbane, Australia (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate and execute a wide range of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations for the accounting practice
  • Manage client communications with utmost professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Prepare, update, and maintain crucial documents, guaranteeing all information is current and precise
  • Apply your bookkeeping skills to assist with data entry and basic financial record-keeping tasks
  • Expertly handle and prioritize multiple client requests, each with unique requirements and deadlines
  • Act as a central point of coordination between various roles and departments within the organization
  • Ensure timely completion of urgent matters for clients and government agencies, maintaining the firm’s reputation for reliability

Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Australian chartered accounting practice or similar professional services environment
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Xero. 
  • Nice to have experience in the following software 
  1. ATO Tax Agent Portal
  2. Handisoft
  3. Business Fitness/Smart working papers
  4. ASIC registered agent portal
  5. MYOB
  6. Quickbooks
  7. Reckon 
  8. Lucid Charts
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities, with a talent for multitasking and prioritizing
  • Solid foundation in bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Proficiency in using both cloud-based and PC-based applications relevant to accounting and administrative tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle various clients and their unique needs with ease
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for seamless remote work
  • Comfort with handling confidential information and sensitive client data
  • Willingness to work with multiple software applications and potentially utilize a multi-monitor setup for enhanced efficiency
