Carbonaro CPAs has an opening for full-time work as a full charge Bookkeeper for our offices on the Big Island in Hilo or Kona or in Wailuku on Maui. We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, highly organized individual who is able to work well with others, and able to maintain the accounts of multiple clients. Must live on the Island of Hawaii or Maui. This is NOT a remote position. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity for advancement because our Firm has grown every year for 29 years with offices in Wailuku, Hilo & Kona. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Accounts Receivable
– Accounts Payable
– Journal entry in general ledger
– Bank reconciliation
– Payroll & payroll tax filing – monthly, quarterly & annual reporting
– Prepare Financial reports
– Prepare general excise tax filing
– Working with numerous client accounts, both Profit & Non-profit
– Assist with administrative duties in the office

The ideal candidates must possess:
– Accounting Degree or 5-10 years experience as a full charge bookkeeper
– Knowledge of Quickbooks or online Quickbooks
– Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
– Be a quick learner
– Self-motivated and work well with a team and with clients
– Highly organized – As you will be working with multiple Profit & Non-profit clients
