This position supports the podiatry, chiropractic and dental segment of our medical professional liability line of business and can be fully remote, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones.

The Account Coordinator I position reports to the Policy Services Manager. Individuals in this level are encouraged to advance to the Account Coordinator II level, however, it is not required. The Account Coordinator I will process Claims History requests from third parties for the DPM and Dental policies. They are ultimately responsible for the faxes and emails that come into the Policy Services inbox and getting them to the appropriate Account Manager or Associate Underwriter for processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

80% - Policy Services Administration:

  • Monitor incoming internal and external faxes, emails, and voicemails for Policy Services and Dental.
  • Assign documents in the Policy Services fax and email folders to self, state assigned Account Manager, Associate Underwriters, or other PICA team members.
  • Listen to and assign voicemails received in the Policy Services and Dental voicemail boxes. 
  • Process lockbox for PICA and OUM lines of businesses. Assign documents to Account Managers and Associate Underwriters. 
  • Index documents scanned in by facilities. These documents are routed to Account Managers and Associate Underwriters.
  • Responsible for distributing Certificate of Insurance Holder requests and returned mail to appropriate parties in a timely fashion.

15% - Claims History Administration:

  • Process Claims History requests from third parties.
  • Return calls for third party Claims History requests and provide thorough instructions.
  • Handle calls for Claims History and credentialing request for Podiatry and Dental policies, transferring calls to agents if needed or processing payment.

5% - Other Duties:

  • Perform basic policy processing in the Policy Services’ administrative system.
  • Work with Product Owner to test and implement system changes.
  • Provide back-up for Policy Services queues.
  • Actively participate in projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of two years in an administrative support role is required.
  • Minimum of two years in customer service is preferred.
  • Must be highly organized and efficient.
  • High standards of professional behavior and personal accountability.
  • Ability to use basic Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Oasis and/or OnBase a plus.

Position Salary Range
$16.56 - $27.33
The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
