Role description: responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing domain names for an organization, ensuring they are valuable and strategically aligned with business goals, often involving negotiation and securing domain transfers



Core tasks:

  • finding suitable domains on auction platforms
  • check archive history and follow a strict domain vetting process
  • evaluate domains based on relevancy and key SEO metrics
  • placing bids and negotiating with brokers
  • communicating with domain sellers
  • resolving any issues that might arise during the process of domain transfers etc
  • handle the technical aspects of domain name transfers
  • ensuring they are properly registered and configured
  • ensure compliance with domain name registration policies and regulations
  • maintain accurate records of domain name ownership and registration details
  • monitor domain trends


Essential Requirements

  • strong negotiations skills
  • exceptional attention to detail is a MUST
  • a strong knowledge of different auction platforms
  • good analyzing skills
  • familiar with SEO tools: eg. ahrefs
  • strong understanding of domain name registration processes, policies, and regulations.
  • ability to research and evaluate domain names based on various factors
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • familiarity with domain name registration platforms and DNS management
  • ability to understand business objectives and align domain name acquisitions with strategic goals
  • ability to find domain auction platforms in various foreign languages you might not be familiar with
  • ability to work evenings when needed
