Job Summary
Conduct all duties under the direction and supervision of the Legal & Compliance Department attorneys and officers to comply with federal and state laws.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Division attorneys in the delivery of legal services to the Company by complying with legal process in accordance with the law and corporate standard
Conducting legal research
Drafting legal documents
Analyzing issues conducting privilege and third-party information reviews, evaluating contractual exposure of lawsuits
Locating, organizing and preparing discovery materials
Responding to subpoenas and assisting attorneys in the management of litigation.
Skills and Background You’ll Need
Education: Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate required.
Experience: 2+ years progressively responsible work experience in a law office, corporate law department or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations
Working knowledge of simple pleading rules; State and federal civil procedure acts, local court rules, and support enforcement, wage withholding and garnishment laws and regulations; legal and medical terminology; Group Division operations and products.
Ability to analyze facts and identify relevant legal issues regarding legal process; communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral communication; exercise judgment in completing tasks;
Ability to analyze documents and files in support of litigation management and other special projects; properly interpret and apply state and federal statutes, regulations and case law governing legal process.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
24.76 - 36.30Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
