Role description:

We are currently seeking to fill the role of Market Development Lead to support the Water Optimization and Climate Adaption Solutions within the Arcadis Resilience Global Business Area. This remote working role requires a high degree of collaboration and innovation.

Water Optimization Solutions is an area in which Arcadis is recognized as an industry leader and represents our longstanding core disciplines, including Planning, Design, Business Advisory, Program and Construction Management and Operations services for the delivery of Water and Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection and Water Distribution, Water Reuse, Intelligent Water, Asset Management, Innovation and Digitization. Our Climate Adaptation solution is an area of the industry where Arcadis is recognized as both a global and a national leader in developing best practices in Flood Risk Management, Sea Level Rise, and Inland Waterway climate adaptation. The Market Development Lead will work with the Growth team and will be responsible for the creation of engaging marketing collateral, focusing on videos, podcasts, and live sessions to promote Arcadis solutions. They will develop and execute strategic marketing plans, identify and leverage opportunities for brand enhancement, tailor content for diverse audiences, manage social media presence, explore brand partnerships, ensure project success, tackle complex challenges independently, and autonomously drive innovative initiatives within the Growth team’s overall goals to elevate Arcadis' market presence and brand recognition.

Role accountabilities:

  • Content Creation: Conceptualize, produce, and oversee the creation of engaging marketing collateral such as compelling short videos, informative podcasts, and interactive live sessions to showcase Arcadis solutions and services effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement innovative and integrated marketing and communications strategies that align with Arcadis' objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach across all channels.
  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and capitalize on marketing and communications opportunities to enhance brand awareness and engagement with target audiences.
  • Audience Engagement: Craft and tailor original content for various target audiences, ensuring messaging is impactful and resonates across different platforms.
  • Brand Promotion: Collaborate with leadership to explore strategic brand partnerships and marketing initiatives that elevate Arcadis' visibility and presence within the industry.
  • Project Accountability: Take ownership of project goals and objectives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve complex marketing challenges independently, demonstrating strategic thinking and decision-making within the marketing domain.
  • Autonomy: Seize opportunities to act autonomously within the defined program goals, contributing to the continuous innovation and growth of Arcadis' marketing efforts.
  • Support Growth: Support upper management on a wide range of growth initiatives, including positioning for strategic opportunities. Execute any activities required to launch new promotions or other current sales enablement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be an experienced technical editor of A/E/C industry-related content with the ability to simplify technical content, as necessary, for a non-technical audience including city managers, operators, government agency officials, and other stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of A/E/C industry experience as a technical writer, marketing, proposal, or business development specialist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing, business administration, engineering, science, architecture, or a related field is required (or equivalent professional experience).

Skills and abilities:

  • Writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information concisely and clearly, and edit technical material prepared by our technical staff including engineers (environmental, electrical, structural, mechanical, civil), architects, hydraulic/hydrologic/CFD modelers, IT and business advisory, surveyors, environmental scientists, and construction managers.
  • Experience in persuasive writing and developing features, advantages, and benefits.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68,187 - $104,554. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project,t, and location.
