Commercial Controller, Mainland Europe (Hybrid)
Full-time, Bangalore, India, and Barcelona, Spain
As a Commercial Controller, you will take the pricing lead on SME, regional and global bids. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders at the commercial and operational levels to meet client timelines with pragmatic and cost-effective pricing solutions.
You will understand client requirements and compose competitive prices considering the commercial assumptions. You will lead negotiation throughout the pricing process, including submitting clarification questions on price risks appropriately. You will support the Commerce Department in controlling and managing client offers, resulting in commercially justified agreements.
As a Commercial Controller, Mainland Europe, you will
Work closely with the sales lead on bid strategy consisting of simple to complex bids
Prepare, review, validate, and where necessary modify tender data received from our sales teams, to generate accurate and cost-reflective prices
Take the lead in preparing and accurately pricing all elements of bids. Identifies opportunities for savings and future growth
Implement agreed price changes in an effective and timely manner, including managing the price changes into systems and validating that these changes have been implemented accurately
Support Commercial lead in conducting analysis to understand the impact of price changes and to identify improvement opportunities
Manage the pricing inbox; assisting colleagues with pricing queries, ensuring appropriate customer and commercial outcomes are achieved
About You
Experience working in a B2B competitive market
Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Proficiency with SQL or VBA would be beneficial
Intellectually curious but with a proven track record of rolling up sleeves to understand the ins and outs of costing, prices, and margins
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (preferably in a numerical or statistical discipline)
