Job Description

In this role, you will serve as the business lead for the S4/HANA.  You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing the business process requirements of the company and configuring S4/HANA to efficiently meet those requirements.  You will work collaboratively to manage, support, and integrate other systems in S4/HANA.  This role will serve as the liaison to the IT team, ensuring efficient maintenance and operation of financial systems, providing optimum functionality, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will provide useful system output, reports, and data analysis, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities and provide documentation and training for users of financial systems.

As a Manager, Business Financial Systems, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support and Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP support, providing expert guidance and resolving queries related to SAP transactions and financial processes, ensuring smooth and efficient system operations
  • Leadership and Oversight: Lead a team of business analysts responsible for critical financial system operations, including data integrity checks, month-end processing, system configuration, and support for financial interfaces, ensuring consistent and reliable system performance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between IT and Finance departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration to ensure that financial systems are maintained, updated, and aligned with business goals
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting and financial operations, propose innovative solutions for improvement, and lead the implementation of process enhancements that increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Process Design and Optimization: Assist in the end-to-end design and optimization of financial processes, from initial concept through to successful go-live, ensuring that systems are configured to meet the company’s evolving needs
  • Lead IT Rollouts: Spearhead the rollout of new finance-related IT tools, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with existing financial systems and processes
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of financial systems and processes, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information
  • Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within SAP, implementing best practices to protect sensitive information and maintain system reliability
  • User Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for both current and new users of SAP, enhancing their ability to utilize the system effectively and confidently
  • Project Participation: Contribute to the analysis, reconciliation, and successful completion of ad hoc projects, providing valuable insights and ensuring alignment with financial goals
  • System Integration: Manage the integration of SAP with other applications that transmit financial data, ensuring seamless data flow and system compatibility
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and document efficient workflow processes that streamline the operation of financial systems, leading to improved productivity and reduced operational risks

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years of experience in operational accounting and as an SAP Finance key user
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strategic thinker with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Ability to present to business and technical teams or management in verbal, written and/or visual form, with supporting details
