About the Role:
PortPro is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager to join our growing team. As an BDR Manager, you will serve as a player/coach, initially leading by example as an individual contributor while developing and scaling a high-performing BDR team. Over time, this role will evolve into a full leadership position, overseeing both domestic and international SDR teams.
Key Responsibilities:Lead by Example: Initially serve as a player/coach, actively prospecting and qualifying leads while coaching and developing the SDR team.Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage a growing BDR team, ensuring they achieve and exceed pipeline generation goals.Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and refine outreach strategies, messaging, and workflows to optimize lead generation efforts.Pipeline Growth: Work closely with marketing and sales leadership to ensure a steady flow of high-quality leads into the pipeline.Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs, track performance, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on goals and processes.Market Expertise: Stay updated on the drayage and logistics industry trends to enhance outreach effectiveness.Cultural Leadership: Foster an environment of positivity, teamwork, and accountability in alignment with PortPro’s values.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in an BDR or sales leadership role, preferably in a SaaS startup environment.Proven track record of managing and scaling successful BDR teams.Strong prospecting, coaching, and performance management skills.Experience in the logistics, transportation, or drayage industry is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing sales teams.Our Company Values
