Job Summary
Create Music Group’s Business Affairs team is expanding! We are looking for a full-time, corporate
paralegal to join and assist the Business Affairs team with administration, agreement drafting, due
diligence, terminations, takedowns and conflicts, clearances, coordination between departments, and
organization of legal information. Must be a self-learner and self-starter. Law firm experience is
preferred. Training in coding and/or music is advantageous but not required. Some of the various required
tasks are listed below.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our artist clients
- Draft simple forms and letters, and populating documents in the Customer Relationship
- Management System (“CRM”)
- Redline and summarize comments
- Manage the material terms in client accounts
- Close-out deals in the CRM and create abstracts upon execution
- Send and save documents
- Organize deal terms, client information, and documents
- Request contracting information from artists, managers, and legal teams
- Coordinate final deal points with A&Rs
- Track projects in various departments
- Coordinate with various teams across the company
- Track deal negotiations
- Manage the deal flow and follow up on actionable items as needed
- Coordinate execution of agreements, including sending documents via Formstack
- Manage projects within the Business Affairs team
- Maintain and update Business Affairs deal templates including forms in the CRM
- Maintain Business Affairs tools in the CRM
- Schedule meetings
- Review and Track termination and takedown requests
- Review and Track Letters of Direction
- Respond as Legal Point of Contact to artists, managers and attorneys
- Manage and track execution of sync license agreements
- Assist with infringement claims
- Coordinate with outside counsel regarding litigation claims and document requests

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the
Functions And Responsibilities Of The Position
Completion of an approved paralegal program
Minimum Two (2) Years’ Experience As a Paralegal
Successful completion of the American Bar Association approved standard tests for paralegal
certification
Accomplished computer keyboarding skills
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe DC (redlining, redacting, formatting, spreadsheets)
Experience with Google Suite
Experience with Formstack, Slack, Salesforce (helpful but not required)

$47,500-$90,000
