Position Overview:

They seek a motivated intern to support financial analysis and research in a dynamic environment. This role offers hands-on experience in real estate finance, development, and market analysis, with potential for future full-time opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analyses of development opportunities, including creating detailed pro-forma and financial models.
  • Research affordable housing policy and traditional multifamily. dynamics in target markets. Track local supply/demand, comparable properties, competitive landscape, market rents, and other local dynamics.
  • Prepare narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries using tools such as Excel, Word, Canva, and Adobe. Helps maintain internal project management checklists.
  • Track and complete financing applications, mostly for grants and LIHTC subsidies that encourage the creation of affordable housing, including tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, project-based vouchers, CDBG funds, PILOTs / tax exemptions, local soft money programs, and RFPs.
  • Assist in building and editing custom financial models to track and project performance of unique real estate projects and traditional operating companies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Canva, Adobe, and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and adapt.
  • Bonus points if you are an AI wiz, or an AI-wiz-to-be, and/or if you have any prior visual design exposure.
