THE PORTFOLIO COMPANY

This key leadership role is in a high-growth, high-profit portfolio company of big thinkers and big doers. It is a CPG/beverage/dietary supplement company with a history of strong, profitable growth as the number one product and brand in its emerging category. Through its expanding sales and distribution network, the team is positioned to scale existing and new products globally, driving exponential revenue growth. With the leadership team in place, the opportunity is now to execute a scalable retail expansion strategy, optimize sales execution, and maximize category leadership on the path to a lucrative exit.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Director of Corporate Development - Regulated CPG, you will be a key strategic partner to the executive team, focusing on capital raising, exit planning, M&A execution, and investment structuring to support the company's long-term growth.


You will lead capital raises, secure strategic banking relationships, and optimize liquidity and financing structures while developing and executing exit strategies for portfolio companies. This includes managing M&A transactions, evaluating acquisitions and partnerships, and structuring investment deals to ensure long-term scalability.


You'll work cross-functionally with finance, legal, operations, and investors, ensuring that corporate transactions maximize enterprise value and align with the company's aggressive financial targets. The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, with experience in capital structuring, private banking, and M&A execution in regulated industries.


While your is focused on the CPG part of the business, you will also be involved in fund level optations, family global banking and new business ecelopment opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exit Strategy & M&A Execution
  • Develop and execute a structured exit strategy for our largest portfolio business in regulated CPG , engaging investment banks, private equity firms, and strategic buyers.
  • Oversee M&A transactions, ensuring valuation optimization, negotiation execution, and seamless integrations.
  • Build and maintain a targeted M&A contact list, securing deals in alcohol, cannabis and tobacco and regulated CPG sectors.
  • Capital Raising & Liquidity Optimization
  • Secure $5M–$20M+ bank lines of credit and establish global private banking relationships to enhance lending capacity.
  • Lead capital raises from strategic partners, private investors, and celebrity backers, ensuring structured funding for business expansion.
  • Build comprehensive raise packages that are exciting and compelling.
  • Financial Strategy & Investment Oversight
  • Conduct investment reviews, capital allocation planning, and portfolio structuring to maximize growth.
  • Lead financial modeling, valuation analyses, and scenario planning for liquidity events and asset sales.
  • Develop long-term financial infrastructure to support scalability and private banking expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Compliance
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and operations to align capital initiatives with corporate growth objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and investment laws while structuring deals for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide board-level reporting and insights to investors, banking partners, and executive leadership.
  • Fund development
  • Develop and execute the vision for a new regulated CPG investment fund, leveraging the company's track record and the founder's extensive network.
  • Define the fund thesis, structure, and key investment criteria to attract high-value investors.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, engaging strategic investors, family offices, and institutional partners to secure commitments.
  • Position the fund for long-term success by aligning investment strategies with industry trends and market opportunities.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, with a focus on M&A, capital structuring, and investment strategy.
  • Direct experience raising capital ($50M-$200M), structuring LOCs, and optimizing liquidity solutions.
  • Strategic exit transaction experience (ideally in regulated CPG) in the $100M+ range, including navigating owner secondaries.
  • Experience conducting raise activities with value-added partners, including celebrities and strategically notable distribution networks.
  • Experience working with founders and founder-led companies, including significant direct interaction with strong positive references.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end M&A transactions, deal sourcing, and financial negotiations.
  • Experience working with investment bankers, strategic buyers, and private equity firms in regulated industries (CPG, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with expertise in valuations, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Experience preparing and presenting investment strategies to founders, UHNW individuals, and institutional investors.
  • History of working with visionary founders in high-growth, fast-paced environments, with a demonstrated ability to execute under pressure.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Structuring and executing exits in regulated CPG sectors with transaction sizes exceeding $500M.
  • Leading family office investments, private banking relationships, and institutional capital strategies.
  • Deep expertise in tax structuring, financial compliance, and cross-border investment management.
  • Success in scaling companies for strategic exits, secondary transactions, or full acquisitions.


COMPENSATION

An aggressive base salary will be provided in this position, with an additional lucrative bonus plan based on performance. In this role you will contribute directly to a highly lucrative exit and will be rewarded generously as a result. Full medical benefits are provided as part of this roll.
