We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions for insurance and financial applications, leveraging RADIENCE, PATHFINDER, and Ingenium platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other technical teams to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of insurance and financial applications.

  • Develop, test, and implement high-quality software solutions, ensuring compliance with business requirements and industry standards.

  • Work closely with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, process improvements, and application implementations.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system performance, and enhance user experience.

  • Provide technical expertise on RADIENCE, PATHFINDER, Ingenium, and other related platforms, ensuring seamless integration and high availability.

  • Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure stability and reliability.

  • Maintain and update documentation for system processes, configurations, and best practices.

  • Ensure successful change management by assessing impacts, risks, and benefits of proposed system changes.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Support post-implementation activities, including troubleshooting production issues and providing technical assistance to end users.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 8+ years in software development and engineering roles.

  • Proven expertise in RADIENCE and PATHFINDER, including implementation, upgrades, and transformations.

  • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, REXX, CICS, and MQ Series.

  • Experience working with Ingenium and ProductXpress is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of insurance business processes, particularly life insurance products such as whole life, term, disability, universal life, wealth, and health products.

  • Experience working on Windows, Unix, and AIX operating systems.

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with hands-on experience in Agile development practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in RADIENCE, PATHFINDER, Ingenium, or Agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with modern software development tools, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
