Job Role: Accounts & Payroll Officer (004-0032)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM (AU Time Zone)

Salary: 2,000 - 2,500 AUD / monthly

Contract Type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Who The Client Is: The client is a family law lending specialist transforming Australia’s personal legal services market with innovative lending solutions that fundamentally change the experience and outcomes for individuals and family law firms. Their launch offering provides legal funding to individuals who are going through the complex, stressful and financially challenging process of marital separation so they can pay their legal fees.


Role Overview: The Accounts & Payroll Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and payroll while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the position involves liaising with clients and vendors to ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in managing financial transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable: Process client invoices and payments, address client queries, and ensure accurate tracking of repayments.
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and payments, ensure accruals/prepayments reflect the current financial position.
  • Payroll Administration: Process monthly payroll, ensure compliance with regulations, and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with law firms and clients regarding invoices, payment confirmations, and refunds.
  • Administrative Support: Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and assist with financial documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in an accounts payable or accounts receivable role.
  • Relevant experience in payroll management.
  • Experience using Xero accounting software highly regarded.
  • Experience using any CRM software.
