Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Client/Project Manager to join our passionate team of learning design professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a deep understanding of instructional design principles. As the Client/Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of learning solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs, objectives, and expectations.

  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive engagement and exceptional service.

  • Collaborate with clients to gather project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or feedback.


2. Project Coordination:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the learning design team and clients.

  • Coordinate all aspects of project execution, including resource allocation, task assignments, and milestone tracking.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement strategies to mitigate them.

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.


3. Team Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, content developers, graphic designers, and technical specialists.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, conveying client requirements, feedback, and expectations accurately and efficiently.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.


4. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on deliverables to ensure they meet client specifications and align with project objectives.

  • Solicit feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary revisions or enhancements.

  • Uphold high standards of quality, consistency, and professionalism across all project deliverables.



Requirements
  • Proven experience in client/project management, preferably in the education, e-learning, or instructional design industry (10+ years of overall experience, 5+ years of role-specific experience)

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and educational technologies

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (we use Zoho Projects, but if you’ve worked with Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello or other similar platforms you’ll be comfortable with this one)

  • Fluency in English (additional proficiency in Swahili is a plus)

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
