What’s unique about this role?

Lighthouse seeks a Global Sr. Manager Benefits & Wellness expert who will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing employee benefit programs and wellness initiatives while promoting a culture of health and well-being within the organization. The ideal candidate must have an extensive knowledge of benefits while acting as a strategic partner to elevate the benefit programs at Lighthouse.


What will this person do?

  • Work closely with finance and payroll to deliver accurate payroll deductions. 
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs, including global health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Able to work with stakeholders at all levels to create solutions while staying within budget and maintaining cost for Lighthouse and employees. 
  • Manage external vendors, brokers, and carriers to ensure smooth administration of benefit plans, resolve issues in a timely manner. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analyses, and make informed recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Prepare and distribute benefit-related communications, such as open enrollment materials, plan summaries, and policy updates. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure accurate benefits administration, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures and recommend process improvements internally & with external vendors. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to organize and promote wellness-related events, campaigns, and resources to drive employee participation and awareness. Lead the internal benefits committee. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and research related to employee benefits and wellness, incorporating innovative ideas into program design and delivery.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees, providing guidance and support related to benefit plans, leaves of absence, wellness programs, and related policies.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing educational materials, presentations, and workshops to help employees understand their benefits and make informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with global relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other benefit-related legislation in US, AP and EMEA.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefit plans, enrollments, and employee communications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting employee well-being and creating a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit concepts to employees at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned related to compensation, HRIS, and employee wellness programs.

  • ADP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, with superior attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize one’s own work.
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing upon HR and / or Benefits project plans across a global organization.
  • A customer-centric individual who exhibits a sense of urgency and a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) Understanding of state and federal regulations related to employee benefits programs (e.g., COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, etc.) as well as general HR practices including HRIS tools, with the ability to quickly learn ADP Workforce Now.
  • Five or more years of experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Two or more years HR project management. 
  • Two or more years managing vendors. 
  • Professional certification, or progress toward certification, is preferred. (e.g., PHR, CBP, SHRM-CP, GBA/CEBS)


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
