Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We’re looking for a passionate leader with keen intuition for business to join our People Team. Our Head of Learning & Development will work closely with executive leaders, the People Partners, and people managers to drive L&D strategies that develop and retain talent at Figma. As a member of the People leadership team, you will also help to shape our People strategy, deliver on core People programs, and leverage data to help improve the success and implementation of programs. This position will collaborate closely with People functional centers of expertise to develop and deliver integrated and inclusive L&D services and programs that are uniquely Figma.

As a culture champion, you will lead by example; your mentorship, communication, patience, and insights will help champion our mission to make Figma an environment of belonging. You’ll work to deliver learning programs that let us connect, develop and inspire Figmates, partnering closely across the People teams and wider employee population. You'll partner with the VP, People to collect and synthesize the needs of Figmates, and create and roll out a learning and development roadmap. You’ll have the chance to create a lasting impact while helping others learn and grow.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our hubs or remotely.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Develop leadership programs that enhance Figmanagers’ ability to lead with empathy, develop teams, and scale impact.
  • Design learning strategies for leadership, career growth, internal mobility, and skills development.
  • Partner with People teams to deliver inclusive, uniquely Figma learning experiences.
  • Advise managers and leaders on talent development, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Implement programs that align with Figma’s culture, ensuring high-performing, inclusive teams.
  • Measure effectiveness through data and feedback to refine offerings.
  • Drive engagement through culture-building and DEIB initiatives.
  • Continuously innovate and improve learning programs.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 5+ years in a People leadership role, driving strategic talent initiatives and leading teams.
  • Expertise in learning and development, including leadership, career, and organizational development.
  • Experience scaling a company with culture and DEIB as core decision-making principles.
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing People teams.
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Ability to get results, gain commitment from partners, and embed learning into company culture.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating clarity and prioritizing effectively.
  • Thrives in dynamic, international, and fast-paced environments.
  • Creative, strategic problem solver with a passion for innovation in people development.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
