Overview

As an off-price retailer, we generate more than $9B in sales through our nationwide network of stores.
This role supports the Architecture team for new, relocations, remodels and store roll out programs and will be responsible for façade architectural design, window graphic programs and execution. Collaborate with clients to understand project goals, requirements and budget. Responsible for researching relevant information, including site conditions, zoning regulations and environmental factors, prepare and submit required documentation for building permits, coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with all regulations, address any issues or revisions as requested. Maintain ongoing communication throughout all phases of design and construction, address feedback, concerns and questions.

A Day in the Life
Develop and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with internal & external vendors /partners. Store Planning, Construction, Architecture, Legal, Real Estate, and Senior Management.
Mentor and coordinate the work of team members within Facades and Branding team.
Manage and ensure signage vendor delivers required signage exhibits to deliver on branding of our stores.
Produces architectural renderings of façade elevations using digital tools and design & artistic skill.
Produces façade and signage exhibits in line with the Burlington Brand to communicate design intent.
Solves design issues and produces architectural renderings and façade finish documentation specific to each store site.
Responsible for researching and applying signage code, landlord and center design guidelines while developing designs based on landlord and local municipal requirements.
Review architectural blueprints and specifications and use to inform façade and signage design.
Research and explores architectural materials and makes recommendations to advance performance and cost targets of company.
Ability to travel to sites to record site conditions, materials, record.
Runs many projects simultaneously keeping on pace with overall real estate and legal timelines with little oversite from leadership.
You Will Come With
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a combination of Associate Architecture degree and drafting/design experience in an Architectural office preferred.
Software requirements: Photoshop, Sketchup, AUTOCAD, other rendering software.
Strong skills with MS office, and Adobe Suites, Bluebeam experience a plus.
Ability to travel up to 30%.
