As a proven and successful Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) you will develop and execute revenue generation strategies to drive sustainable growth in the federal GovCon sector. As an executive you will oversee and lead the business development, capture management, proposal development, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies to drive business expansion and profitability.
  • Business Development & Capture: Oversee and lead business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new government contract opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Ensure high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals that align with agency requirements and company capabilities.
  • Pipeline Management: Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across multiple government agencies and contracting vehicles.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with key government stakeholders, teaming partners, subcontractors, and industry leaders.
  • Sales & Account Management: Drive revenue through strong customer relationships, ensuring retention and expansion of existing contracts.
  • Financial Oversight: Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure pricing strategies are competitive and profitable.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor strategies to refine business development approaches.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Align growth initiatives with other departments, including operations, finance, and compliance, while leading and mentoring a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in government contracting, business development, or sales, with a proven track record of driving YoY revenue growth greater than 25%.
  • Government Contracting Expertise: Deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), capture management, proposal development, and contract vehicles (GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs, etc.).
  • Leadership & Strategy: Strong executive leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to drive cross-functional teams toward growth objectives.
  • Sales & Relationship Management: Proven ability to cultivate relationships with government agencies, contracting officers, and teaming partners.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Proficiency in pricing strategies, financial modeling, and revenue forecasting in the government sector.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

Preferred:

  • Existing relationships with government agencies and contracting officers.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital transformation in government services.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CFCM, or DAWIA in contract management or business development.
