Overview:
The Manager, Creative is responsible for the creative development and execution of both marketing and non-marketing requests. Reporting to the Director of Brand and Web Strategy, this leadership role plays a key part in shaping the written and visual storytelling that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention. The Manager oversees their team’s creative output, ensuring it aligns with brand positioning and guidelines, engages the audience, supports conversions, builds lifetime value, and meets business objectives. Additionally, they implement marketing plans, identify creative insights, and transform them into compelling, on-strategy ideas. This role requires strong leadership, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and hands-on involvement in the creative process to deliver impactful assets across all channels.
Responsibilities:
Creative Development and Execution
- Lead the ideation and development of marketing campaigns, sales materials, content, and individual tactics, ensuring all creative efforts are on-strategy and on-brand.
- Develop dynamic, engaging concepts that enhance audience interaction, drive brand awareness, and improve overall marketing performance.
- Ensure consistent brand design, positioning, and narrative across all customer touchpoints, delivering a unified brand experience.
- Oversee the execution of marketing materials, including web and promo pages, paid and organic media, emails, content, and brand experiences, ensuring they align with the brand promise and engage target audiences.
- Provide final approvals on key creative deliverables.
- Continuously explore opportunities for innovation and pushing creative boundaries.
- Apply an innovative, strategic approach to creativity by integrating customer insights, technology, storytelling, and design thinking.
- Analyze performance to refine creative assets based on data and feedback, optimizing for improved outcomes.
- Use data-driven insights to strengthen customer loyalty and engagement, ensuring creative strategies evolve to meet audience needs and maximize impact.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product, sales, and leadership teams to align creative efforts with organizational goals and maintain brand consistency across all communications.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between the creative team and other departments, ensuring all outputs reflect the brand’s values and uphold creative excellence.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional meetings to develop comprehensive marketing and creative strategies that support both marketing initiatives and broader business goals.
- Collaborate with teams to understand their needs and objectives, creating innovative solutions that support marketing campaigns, product launches, sales enablement, and internal communications.
Team Management & Development
- Balance hands-on creative contributions with mentoring and coaching, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Lead and mentor a creative team, including copywriters and designers, providing guidance and support for professional growth and innovation.
- Create a positive, productive work environment by setting clear performance expectations and motivating the team to meet them.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and performance-driven marketing.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality creative work by offering guidance and overseeing the integration of creative projects.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team capabilities.
Workload & Workflow Management
- Manage the creative workload, aligning internal and external resources to meet business needs.
- Lead the development of partnerships with third-party agencies and contractors, including freelancers, video production teams, and other service providers.
- Implement creative tools and systems to support scalability and maintain creative excellence.
- Work closely with the Marketing team and broader organization to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
- Proactively address timeline discrepancies to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Performance Analysis and Optimization
- Evaluate the effectiveness of creative campaigns by analyzing key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with analytics and marketing teams to adjust creative strategies based on data insights, optimizing future campaigns for improved performance.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Hire, train, develop, and evaluate direct reports, ensuring they possess the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to ISACA’s success and further their professional growth.

- Strong understanding of brand strategy and storytelling
- Expert in developing brand messaging that resonates with audiences and supports business objectives.
- Proven ability to craft compelling copy for websites, emails, paid media, social media, and SEO strategies.
- Experience managing and mentoring creative teams while contributing directly to the team’s writing needs.
- Skilled at fostering a culture of experimentation and driving innovation within creative teams.
- Proficient in running A/B tests and using data to refine email, website, and paid media content for optimal performance.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate and sell creative ideas across an organization.
- Knowledge of creative trends and best practices in digital marketing.
- Exceptional ability to navigate complex projects and deliver solutions in fast-paced environments.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and brand standards are met.
- Familiarity with creative and project management tools like Asana, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Field of Study:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
