The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as an HRIS Support Specialist (Workday). In this role, you will be responsible for the utilization and maintenance of the Workday time, attendance, and labor scheduling system. Required daily interaction and administration with both the store personnel and Support Center/other corporate departments as a subject matter expert in workforce management. The position serves as a resource for process inquiries, questions, issues, and reporting trends/metrics with labor and scheduling.

 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Serve as subject matter expert with workforce management specifically supporting the Workday system.  Assist and support the implementation of the Workday system rollout. Support the functionality of the system and assist with any issues to resolve and report them to the business. An issue can be reported to this position directly or through the VIOC Help Desk Tier 1 team using the ServiceNow CRM platform. Partner closely with system engineers, the Operations Experience team, and HR on evolving configuration needs with the system.  Provide guidance to ensure adherence to policy/legal compliance and practice standards from a labor/scheduling perspective. Maintain all information in the Workday system regarding the administration of federal and state wage and hour compliance rules and how those apply to the different calculation groups within the system.

  • Develop and analyze reporting to identify trends in issues and use this to help recommend improvements.  Monitor workforce metrics and labor productivity. 

  • Develop and distribute documentation on processes (time and attendance/standard operating procedures/ etc.), how-to, and FAQs to support teams, internal departments, and/or store operations. This includes creating and maintaining knowledge articles in ServiceNow CRM.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of technical support required

  • Minimum of two years of experience in supporting workforce management systems such as Workday, RedPrairie, and Kronos, with proficiency in the support and maintenance of these systems

  • Previous experience working with legal and confidentiality

  • Must be customer-focused and have a sense of urgency

  • Excellent computer, written/verbal communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong planning, analysis, and formal presentation skills. Able to apply tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Must be able to deal effectively with all types of internal/external customers

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
