About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud data technologies, particularly within the AWS ecosystem, and possess the skills necessary to design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions. The Cloud Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping our data architecture, ensuring data integrity, and enabling seamless access to data for analytical and business intelligence purposes.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines within the AWS cloud environment.
  • Design and implement data models that support specific business needs and analytical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a clear and standardized data schema to ensure data consistency and ease of access.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Build and manage data lakes, ensuring the availability, consistency, and security of data for various data consumers.
  • Implement data quality and data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing mechanisms for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to support their data needs and enable advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and other issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud data engineering and recommend their incorporation as appropriate.


Requirements

  • Cloud Data Expertise: Proficiency in cloud-based data technologies, particularly within the AWS ecosystem. Experience with services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, and AWS Lambda.
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in data modeling methodologies, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
  • AWS Data Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience working with various AWS data services and tools for data storage, processing, and integration.
  • Data Lake Management: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing data lakes, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage strategies.
  • BI and Analytics Tools: Understanding of business intelligence and analytics concepts. Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot data-related problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in cloud data engineering roles, with a proven track record of delivering data solutions in complex environments.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in AWS or cloud technologies are a plus.
