Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Lead Quality Engineer Pricing position is completely 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and make decisions quickly to meet the demands of fast paced projects/programs.
Demonstrated leadership skills with strong planning and organization.
Knowledgeable about industry trends, QA best practices, and change management.
Define test strategies focused on the overall quality of the product and speed of releases.
Lead code reviews and defect remediation for code deployed into production.
Identifying areas for the team to improve code coverage, reduce manual steps needed to validate data correctness and define acceptable quality levels.
Leads QA resources to improving automation test frameworks.
Develop test data strategy, automate test data generation, and validate data accuracy.
Contribute to defining user stories, including detailed requirements and acceptance criteria.
Responsible for the utilization of static code and dynamic code analysis to identify performance and maintenance concerns.
Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability and maintainability.
Recommend improvements into overall best practices, design, testability and quality and productivity.
Lead Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing and security testing, and identify gaps and opportunities to optimize performance and mitigate risks
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and production readiness testing, analyzing results and providing actionable feedback for improvement.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Business Stakeholders and End Users, IT Leadership, IT Delivery (Sr. Product Owners, Product Owners/ Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Developers, Quality Engineers, Architects, Program Managers, etc.), cross-functional product/ application teams
External: SaaS Vendors and Service Integrators (SI)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in quality engineering field, both manual and automations
5+ Years of experience leading QA team and handling test challenges at the team level, providing guidance, support and mentorship.
Advanced knowledge of test engineering practices within an Agile SDLC methodology.
Experience in organizational transformation, leading efforts to instill a culture of testing and automation.
Track record of timely delivery of high-quality software.
Excellent problem solving, issue identification and technical documentation skills.
Practical knowledge of test automation tools for mobile, web, and service technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience with UI & API test automation tools, particularly in Java / Python stack (Selenium etc.) is preferred
2+ years of experience with Continuous Testing frameworks (e.g., Bamboo, Git, Smartbear, Postman, Sonarqube, Selenium, Cucumber BDD) is preferred
Experience in writing queries and knowledge in one or more DB technologies: SQL and No-SQL databases like SQL server, Snowflake, Mongo DB
Experience with one or more Test Management tools like Testrail
Experience working in a distributed team of onshore / offshore engineering resources.
Experience defining high-level test automation strategy based on Continuous Testing best practices.
Manages quality/test challenges at the team level, providing guidance, training, technical support and mentorship.
Experience with SaaS/ vendor platforms is preferred.
Have experience or familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Python, Java, Node.js, Angular, SQL, Kafka, Containers, XCUITest, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, JUnit, Postman, Smartbear, Sonarqube.
Passion for high-quality code, tests, CI/CD, documentation, and addressing recurring problems with software solutions.
Familiarity with Agile development methodology and tools like JIRA
Experience with Pricing and/or in the wholesale food distribution industries
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent work experience required.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $85,000 - $140,000.
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
