The Opportunity
At Sephora, our HR Managers are trusted advisors who help our employees and leaders thrive. In this role, you’ll lead and implement the people strategy working directly with the Regional Directors and District Manager teams. You'll also manage a team of HR Business Partners who support multiple districts. Your work will empower the business to make smart, data-driven decisions while fostering an inclusive and equitable culture.
This is a market based remote position. Candidates must reside in a major city within the state of California.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing and Engaged Team: Manage and mentor HR Business Partners, ensuring their growth, continuous development, and success.
- Be a Strategic Partner: Work with leaders to shape and implement people strategies that align with business goals, including performance management, compensation, benefits, and development programs.
- Coach and Influence: Leverage your strong understanding of the business and talent to coach leaders and influence strong decision-making, fostering long-term organizational growth and resilience.
- Implement Impactful People Solutions: Identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement strategies that address complex challenges.
- Leverage Data: Use insights to guide decisions, uncover trends, and improve organizational health.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR programs, proactively making recommendations for improvements consistent with the company’s vision and values.
- Lead talent review and succession planning process that identifies top talent, mitigates talent gaps, and builds leadership capabilities.
- Champion Culture and Inclusion: Champion Sephora’s values while driving initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
- Ensure Compliance and Support: Align employee and business needs while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements to foster a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace.
- Collaborate across the HR and Retail teams: Partner with HR, ER, Legal, and Retail Team COEs and to create and drive people initiatives that impact the business.

We would love to hear from you if…
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience
- Well rounded capability across the HR spectrum (Performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management and succession planning, employee relations, Labor relations)
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Talent Management systems
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software
- 30-40% travel
The annual base salary range for this position is $152,000.00 - $169,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
