The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

About the Role:

The Strategic Partnerships Manager (SPM) expands the impact of WGU’s network of academic and employer relationships to support the University’s mission. WGU’s partnerships increase market reach and student access, improve affordability, and enhance the student experience. This position will develop existing partnerships within the Southeast Region - specifically in Florida, Southern Georgia, and Southern Alabama - promoting the value of our educational programs while executing a flywheel approach to effectively benefit both the university and its partners.

Location: This position requires you to be located in Central Florida

What You’ll Do:

  • Authentically project and reflect the mission of WGU
  • Develop deep and lasting partnerships to increase WGU’s reach and educational impact
  • Execute a relevant strategic partnership plan for every partnership owned, ensuring partnership launches, maintenance, project timelines, student impact, and business results are achieved.
  • Research, recommend, attend, and participate in regional and professional organizations or events to represent and promote WGU
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress
  • Demonstrate thoughtful and appropriate time management in extending the vision, strategies and tactics required for profitable and sustained partner engagement and implementation across all assigned accounts.
  • Maintain consistent communication with your team and leadership while working independently to create partnerships

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Required
  • 2-4 years’ experience in business development and strategic partnership management with a record of high performance in solution selling.
  • Up to 80% travel required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge and use of Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sales experience
  • Higher education or transfer institution experience

Position & Application Details

Full-Time Regular Positions (classified as regular and working 40 standard weekly hours): This is a full-time, regular position (classified for 40 standard weekly hours) that is eligible for bonuses; medical, dental, vision, telehealth and mental healthcare; health savings account and flexible spending account; basic and voluntary life insurance; disability coverage; accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity supplemental coverages; legal and identity theft coverage; retirement savings plan; wellbeing program; discounted WGU tuition; and flexible paid time off for rest and relaxation with no need for accrual, flexible paid sick time with no need for accrual, 11 paid holidays, and other paid leaves, including up to 12 weeks of parental leave.
