Dynamics Technical Lead - VIU, Sales Enablement

Seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) CRM Technical Lead with our VIU by HUB business and technology teams through its next growth phase. The D365 Technical Lead will report to the Director, Sales Operations and Technology on the Sales Enablement Team at HUB International and support the VIU by HUB (Compare Insurance Quotes, Shop, & Manage Your Policies | VIU by HUB) digital personal lines insurance brokerage business as part of a Scrum development team. Technology and sales tools are of upmost importance to VIU by HUB’s continued growth.

A key aspect for this role will be to provide support and oversight for the system configuration, upgrade, security administration, change management, and on-going monitoring of the VIU by HUB instance of Dynamics 365 CRM platform. The D365 Technical Lead will equip the Product Owner, Stakeholders, and the Agile Squad with the knowledge to drive Dynamics 365 in the most effective and architecturally sound way. This D365 Technical lead will be charged with leading the technical aspects of the VIU instance of Dynamics 365 platform in collaboration with our functional team, support team, quality team, and developers. The D365 Technical Lead will also be the technical resource and subject matter expert for solutioning (including user story breakdown) and sizing upcoming business enhancement initiatives and other cross-squad collaboration as it relates to Dynamics functionality and integration capabilities. The D365 Technical Lead thrives working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment—bringing forth and new ideas, solutions, and expert collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the business needs and processes to architect solutions utilizing modern technologies and techniques helping to achieve system goals.  Designs should find a balance between user satisfaction/experience, maintainability, scalability, and cost to implement
  • Gather technical requirements and propose solutions based on architectural and business needs
  • Help drive Dynamics CE implementations through sprint cycles, maintaining agile software delivery methodologies
  • Translate business requirements into system diagrams and prototypes
  • Develop integrations and customizations to Dynamics CE
  • Design and lead the system architecture process to create, define specifications for, and implement customizations for any custom code or data migration requirements
  • Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution
  • Manage the on-going support, maintenance, and enhancement of the VIU by HUB Dynamics 365 environment
  • Collaborate with Squad Product Owner to achieve integration and partnership goals with third-parties – e.g. Vendors
  • Perform changes to Workflows using Power Automate, database fields, screens using out-of-the-box tool sets for entity configuration, workflows and templates
  • Development/management of specific user security roles and privileges, along with underlying profile structure
  • Understanding of Microsoft D365 data including Advanced Find, Dashboards, Report Wizard, as well as Power BI
  • Create inclusive team environment that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years in technology / software development overall, with 5+ years designing and delivering D365 solutions with various integration strategies
  • Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE product and industry knowledge for sales and customer service, including Customer Insights – Journeys & Data for marketing.
  • Experience with additional products in the Power Platform, such as Power Apps Portal, Power Automate, etc.
  • Familiarity and experience with Dynamics 365 CRM integrations with Omni-Channel Contact Center platforms (telephony, SMS, Chat, etc) is a big plus
  • Ability to operate and lead technical vision in a dedicated Agile Scrum process and development squad
  • Ability to drive continued innovation in thinking, requirements, and delivered capabilities
  • Strong user and stakeholder focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong inter-team collaboration between various technical, business, marketing, and IT teams
  • Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and client development skills to effectively present information to company leadership. Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Ability to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Experience with development and project management tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Attention to detail and deadline-focused

Travel:

This role is remote but may be asked to travel (up to 10% on average within the year) throughout the US in support of an initiative or to attend a training or meeting.
