From generous bonus and 401(k) programs to tuition reimbursement and flexible work schedules, Commonwealth is focused on helping its employees thrive in an environment suited to their needs. On top of all that, the Transition department offers a hybrid work schedule, so you’ll be able to work from home for part of the week!

We’re looking for a transition operations support associate to join our ranks. We are looking to bring a top-notch associate to our team—someone whose attention to detail is exemplary and who embraces our commitment to providing indispensable service. The Transition team guides and supports financial advisors and their staff as they embark on various types of transitions with Commonwealth including moving their practice to the firm, buying and selling a book of business as well as moving to our fee only affiliation model.  In this behind-the-scenes role, you will be hands-on with supporting the operational needs of the team to ensure every transition a smooth one.

  • Managing the updates to department workflows and resources on SharePoint
  • Assisting with advisor inquiries, researching issues and monitoring case statuses
  • Performing operational and administrative duties that include crediting transfer fees, researching investment products, generating and monitoring account lists, general case processing, and contacting sponsor companies for status and form requirements
  • Contributing to our virtual transition support program by opening accounts and preparing paperwork to send clients and advisors
  • Supporting the Transition team in other areas when needed

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Exemplary customer service and phone skills
  • Strong technical skills in Excel, Word, and database tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time and to navigate competing priorities
  • Strong team player
  • First-rate problem-solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and patient demeanor

Have we piqued your curiosity? Can you see yourself thriving in this opportunity?
