The Director, Human Resources will provide strategic HR business partnership to executive team leaders and create, implement and drive HR practices that support both short- and long-term business objectives. This position will provide competitive advantage through innovative workforce approaches uniquely tailored to Bioventus' mission, vision and culture, and support operational results.
Reporting directly to the CHRO and guiding a team of HR professionals; this role collaborates with functional leaders to develop and implement HR strategies to support a market leadership position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translates Bioventus' business strategies into forward-thinking and actionable HR plans. Sets near-term priorities to support the business as a key partner, while developing human resources initiatives to enable the sustained growth and change in the business.
  • Supports, coaches and partners with Bioventus leadership team on all organizational and leadership related development initiatives. 
  • Provides counsel and HR direction with all leadership team members, supporting the success of the organizational goals and talent selection, retention and development.
  • In collaboration with the CHRO, continues efforts to develop a strong, effective and respected HR organization that is rooted in strategic business partnership with its internal customers.
  • Champions and supports the planning, development, communication and implementation of talent management programs to create a competitive advantage through a highly competent and motivated workforce.
  • Partners with Center of Excellence teams in areas of recruitment, compensation and benefits to develop and implement effective programs and execution in a public company environment.
  • Provides the cultural framework required to ensure our HR policies drive our culture and employee engagement.
  • Participates in HR due diligence as needed and review HR strategic plan for continuous improvement.  
  • Leads the HR Scorecard and HR business dashboard development and management in line with company objectives and operational/HR programs
  • Facilitate organizational change; partnering with business leaders to drive change across the business that creates value and engages employees.
  • Leads the development and execution of HR Projects and budgets to support key business initiatives
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to complete projects.  Monitor and review projects for continuous improvements.
  • Collaborates with Audit & Risk Management function to identify business risks, and develop and implement preventive strategies for functional area.
  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance & Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
  • Senior member of the HR team in the absence of the CHRO
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • SPHR certification required
  • Minimum 15 years of all round HR Business Partner experience, ideally within a medical device,  international and multi site organization
  • Minimum 8+ years relevant HR Generalist leadership experience supporting multiple business partners and developing a team of HR professionals
  • Minimum 5 years experience supporting a commercial sales organization.  Previous experience supporting sales compensation design strongly preferred.
  • Executive Leadership program development expertise would be a plus and talent development experience is essential for success in this position
  • Extensive experience in Talent Management, Performance Management, General HR and Organizational Design
