Job Summary: The Compensation Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s compensation programs and ensuring compliance with leave of absence (LOA) processes. This position is responsible for analyzing compensation data, maintaining pay structures, and serving as a key resource for LOA administration, including compliance with federal, state, and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional services environment, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific compensation structures and talent retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Analysis:
Conduct job evaluations and market analyses to ensure competitive pay structures, with a focus on professional services roles. Analyze compensation trends and provide recommendations to support pay equity and alignment with organizational goals. Support annual salary review and bonus programs through data preparation, analysis, and reporting. Assist in the development and maintenance of career progression frameworks that align with the firm’s business strategy. Leave of Absence Administration:
Administer the LOA process, including FMLA, state leave laws, firm policies, and accommodations. Serve as a subject matter expert for LOA-related inquiries and provide guidance to colleagues and managers. Coordinate with Payroll, HR, and third-party vendors to ensure accurate payment, tracking, and compliance. Maintain and update leave-related policies and documentation. Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws related to compensation and leave programs. Prepare and maintain reports for compensation and LOA metrics to inform decision-making. Support internal and external audits related to compensation and LOA programs. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in compensation analysis and/or leave administration, preferably in a professional services environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems. Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal leave regulations. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Experience with compensation software or tools. Certification in Compensation (CCP) or HR (SHRM-CP/PHR). Experience supporting compensation programs within a financial, legal, consulting, or accounting firm. Preferred QualificationsExperience with compensation software or tools.
