JOB SUMMARY

Leverages data analytics to provide actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making across the HR department. Conducts in-depth statistical analyses to identify opportunities for optimizing HR programs and processes. Partners with HR leadership to evaluate the outcomes of HR strategies and refines them based on insights. Designs user-friendly, actionable visualizations that empower HR leaders and managers to make informed decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dashboard Creation and Management:

  • Designs, develops, and manages HR databases and dashboards that support real-time insights, analytics and reporting needs.

  • Identifies and sources data from internal and external systems to support analytics projects.

  • Creates data visualizations that effectively communicate complex analytical findings, including trends in key HR metrics in recruitment, retention, total rewards, team member performance and learning and development.

  • Uses statistical analysis tools to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

  • Continuously monitors and refines dashboards to ensure they meet changing business needs, implementing optimizations for efficiency and effective storytelling.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Creates and delivers HR reports, dashboards and metrics to stakeholders and leadership by gathering requirements from users and obtaining appropriate data from various sources.

  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications, enabling the effective implementation of reports and dashboards from diverse data sources.

  • Performs quantitative analysis and predictive modeling for the purpose of analyzing an EMC’s future workforce needs against internal and external labor markets to identify potential shortfalls and design interventions to fill the gaps.

  • Conducts “what if” scenario planning and analysis to identify the return and impact of specific HR initiatives.

  • Utilizes Workday reporting, Workday Prism, and other data analysis software to build necessary reports, combine and manipulate data sets, and perform complex data analysis.

  • Builds Workday Discovery Boards and interactive dashboards using other software as needed to enable self-service exploration of data and visualization.

Support HR Data Strategy:

  • Collaborates with HR leadership to align data needs with strategy to support business objectives and enable data-driven decision making.

  • Leads data analysis and reporting initiatives, including the identification of trends and opportunities for improvement. Performs research and analysis to ensure the HR data strategy is scalable, easy to use.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborates with HR business partners, HR teams and stakeholders to understand data needs and develop effective solutions. 

  • Serves as an HR data analytics expert.

  • Provides guidance and training to stakeholders on the use of HR data and analytics tools and reporting.

  • Serves as a consultant to leaders, helping them interpret analytics results and make informed decisions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

The education and experience below are required for the job unless labelled as preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in statistics, economics, data science, mathematics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Seven years of experience in HR business intelligence or data analytics or related field, including at least three years of experience with data modeling

  • Experience with Workday reporting tools (Workday Prism, Discovery Boards)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The knowledge, skills and abilities below are required for the job unless labelled as preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of analytical and data terminology, concepts and theory

  • Excellent knowledge of Workday (including report writing), Excel, PowerPoint and and Word

  • Excellent knowledge of BI products such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Strong skills in statistical techniques and predictive modeling

  • Strong ability to lead high-profile initiatives and provide actionable recommendations

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and other data visualization tools

  • Good understanding of HR functions and HR technology

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent analytical, investigation and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent human relations and customer experience skills

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

WORKING CONDITIONS

Sedentary Work:  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $105,211-$135,116. The hiring range for other locations may vary
