Job Summary: 

• The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for projects to ensure that NTI is a responsive bidder.
• Works with a team of Project Managers and Area Directors in the development of multidisciplinary estimates and works independently on projects of lesser scope and complexity.

Job Duties: 

• Prepare estimate of costs for materials, labor and equipment based on provided scope of work, drawings, and specifications.
• Work with distribution to maintain best available pricing and lead times.
• Prepare cost breakouts and submit onto Excel bid form.
• Prepare proposals based on scope of work and bid specifications.
• Work with team, customer, or end user to generate RFI’s.
• Work with team, customer, or end user to generate work schedule.
• Work with team to provide ideas and improvements.
• Work with project management team to create project schedule.
• Reviews and understands all bid documents and material requirements to assess constructability and product material requirements.

Experience and Education: 

• Telecommunications/IT Engineering or Construction Management degree “preferred”.
• 5+ years of experience in Telecommunications Infrastructure and Systems estimating.

Skills: 

• Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principles.
• Able to work independently without much supervision and work well with a team.
• Understands Costs and Market Conditions.
• Takes accountability for delivering on commitments.
• Identifies and understands differences in subcontractor quotations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and estimating software.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Some local travel is required for projects.
