Job description

Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs

Role Purpose:

The Director, Global HRIS will oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Human Capital Management system (Workday) across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, optimizing HR processes, and driving efficiency through technology solutions. This position will lead a global HRIS team, collaborate with HR, IT, and business leaders, and ensure that Workday platform is fully integrated into the organization's HR strategy and operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the in progress implementation and ongoing management of Workday globally, ensuring alignment with business objectives and HR strategy.
  • Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration, security, and deployment of Workday modules (Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, Payroll, etc.).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance, Legal) to gather requirements, define workflows, and ensure system meets organizational needs.
  • Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements within HRIS functions to increase efficiency and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to streamline and automate HR processes such as onboarding, performance management, compensation, and talent management.
  • Develop and execute a continuous improvement roadmap for HR systems, proposing new features, tools, and solutions to address evolving business needs.
  • Drive system updates, upgrades, and releases, employing new features while ensuring smooth implementation and integration with other business systems.
  • Ensure data integrity across all HR systems, establishing governance practices and protocols for maintaining accurate, clean, and compliant HR data.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, conduct regular audits, and implement data validation processes.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure proper security and compliance related to sensitive employee data and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on HR systems and processes, offering guidance to HR teams and senior leadership on system capabilities and best practices.
  • Drive the creation of HRIS dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights into key HR metrics, data trends, and business performance.
  • Leverage Workday's reporting tools to develop customized reports and analytics to support strategic HR decision-making.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HRIS management, with significant experience in implementing and optimizing systems


Competencies and Proficiency Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading global HRIS implementations, system upgrades, and integrations. Experience with
  • Workday preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices, particularly in global organizations. Experience in HR process design, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of HR data governance, compliance standards, and security protocols.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.


Scope:

Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: Responsible for managing budgets related to HRIS projects and ongoing system maintenance.


Conditions of Role:

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required
  • Work Environment: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs
