Data Migration Specialist

Our client is seeking a Data Migration Specialist for a long-term IT Project.  The key skills needed for the data migration specialist to move data from a Blackbaud CRM database to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 database

TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of both Blackbaud CRM and Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms.  D365 is a must - Blackbaud is not likely to be found.
• Data Management: Understanding of data structures, data integrity, and data quality.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tools: Experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Data Factory, Kingswaysoft.
• SQL and Database Management: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Data Mapping: Ability to map data fields between Blackbaud CRM and Dynamics 365.
• Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Project Management: Skills in planning, executing, and monitoring data migration projects.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the migration process.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of expertise in data migration, data integration, and ETL tools
• Proficiency in database systems (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data manipulation.
• Understanding of data governance and data security best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and team members.
