We are seeking an IT Editor to lead the quality, consistency, and accuracy of content produced for our IT and Cybersecurity media platform. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to elevate our content to meet E-EAT standards (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) while ensuring it resonates with our target audiences and meets strategic business goals.

If you have a deep understanding of IT and Cybersecurity topics, exceptional research and editorial skills, and the ability to oversee a variety of content formats while ensuring high-quality output, this role is for you.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the IT Editor, you will play a key role in shaping the content strategy and ensuring editorial excellence for a platform that focuses on IT, Cybersecurity, and Managed IT Services. You will conduct in-depth research, optimize content for SEO and E-EAT, and manage contributions from a team of writers. Your ability to edit technical content and transform it into engaging, authoritative material will position our platform as a leading voice in the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of professional editing experience, with a portfolio focused on IT and Cybersecurity.

• Strong knowledge of Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity trends, and Cloud technology.

• Proven expertise in editing SEO-optimized long-form and short-form content.

• Advanced knowledge of E-EAT principles for content development and editing.

• Proficiency in managing editorial workflows and editing AI-generated content for style, accuracy, and engagement.

• Exceptional research skills to verify technical information and integrate data/statistics seamlessly into content.

• Bonus: Experience in IT journalism, tech blogging, or technical documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough research on IT and Cybersecurity topics, sourcing credible data from industry reports, case studies, and expert insights to ensure content accuracy and authority.

• Edit, proofread, and enhance content to meet editorial standards and resonate with target audiences.

• Collaborate on content planning to align with Managed IT and Cybersecurity industry trends.

• Edit AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, readability, and engagement.

• Incorporate first-party and third-party research into content to enhance credibility.

• Optimize content for SEO while maintaining authority and trustworthiness.

• Work closely with writers, contributors, and subject matter experts to deliver polished and impactful content.

• Oversee content submissions for the IT & Cybersecurity media platform, ensuring alignment with the platform’s voice and goals.
