Job description

Hello 👋 I’m Emily, Senior Growth Marketing Manager at Pinpoint.

We’re a high-growth, bootstrapped HR-tech start-up building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, strong product-market fit, and happy customers.

In 2024, we need to identify the channels that will launch us into our next phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to help us achieve this. You’ll be our team’s scientist and tinkerer, full of ideas for new experiments and ad concepts we could try.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead experiments to seek out and validate new channels, for example, Meta, Reddit, Display advertising or Bing.
  • Run tests to help us optimize existing channels, like a CRO test on a landing page, or a new bidding strategy on a PPC platform. You’ll be managing our paid marketing efforts across existing demand capture platforms, which include LinkedIn, Google, and PPC programs—we need you to spot ways to make them more efficient.
  • Develop and test creatives across channels—for example drafting new Google Ad headlines, or sending a batch of design briefs to our design agency for new LinkedIn static image ads.
  • Contribute to revenue goals—you’ll be working closely with me to generate and capture demand that ensures the whole Marketing & Sales team reliably hits our goals for new opportunities, pipeline, revenue, retention, and churn.
  • Report on marketing activity on a regular cadence, tracking KPIs and articulating what the results mean for our strategy moving forwards.
  • Contribute to wider campaigns as part of the growth marketing function, for example events, influencers, and social media stunts.

A few things to note before you apply:

  • While you’ll have support from me on the broader strategy and budgeting decisions, you’ll have ownership of the growth channels you’re working on and you’ll be expected to advocate for the budget and strategy you think will get us to our goals. We expect you to understand the marketing and sales funnel in a B2B context, and how your work fits into that.
  • You’ll be managing and executing in platforms, not via agencies.
  • This is an extremely crowded space and we have to be 1% more creative than our competitors. We cannot succeed by doing the same things everyone else is doing.
  • You’ll be joining a team of 4 marketers—we’re a small team with lots to do. We hire people with broad skillsets who jump in and figure things out on their own rather than waiting on someone else.
  • This is a fully remote role, but we meet up in-person at least 1-2 times per quarter for forecasting and team social activities. So we’d like you to be based in the UK where the rest of our marketing team is located.

Tech stack: Hubspot, Wordpress, Ahrefs, Descript, Figma, Asana, GSuite, Slack, Notion.

About You:

  • You likely have 2-3 years of experience in growth, digital, or performance marketing. You might not have experience in all areas of the role we’ve outlined, but you’re excited to learn.
  • You have a curious mindset and like to take problems back to first principles to come up with creative solutions, experiments and tests.
  • You’ve worked at a startup and you know what it means to do more with less. You’re scrappy and you find a way to get things done even if it feels hard.
  • You’ve run B2B ads on at least 1 ad platform, and you’re willing to apply your experience to other platforms as they come up. Bonus points if you know Google or LinkedIn inside out.
  • You can balance planning with execution. You love diving into a channel and making changes at a granular level as much as you enjoy analysing the numbers and contributing to the strategy.
  • You’re comfortable writing ad copy, headlines, and coming up with creative ideas. You write like you talk—no generic B2B fluff.
  • You want to work in a small team with ambitious goals.
  • You’re based in the UK.
