Job description

We are seeking a talented Healthcare Data Scientist with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Healthcare Data Scientist with NLP expertise, you will play a key role in leveraging advanced analytics techniques to derive insights from large-scale healthcare data, including electronic health records (EHRs) and unstructured clinical notes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy NLP-driven solutions that support clinical decision-making, population health management, and healthcare operations optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced NLP techniques to extract structured information from unstructured clinical notes and other healthcare text data.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze healthcare data and predict clinical outcomes, patient trends, and disease progression.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, data engineers, and IT professionals to integrate NLP-driven insights into healthcare workflows and systems.
  • Lead or participate in multidisciplinary projects focused on healthcare data analytics, including project planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in healthcare data science, NLP, and machine learning, and evaluate their potential applications in the healthcare domain.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in healthcare data analytics, with hands-on experience leading NLP-driven solutions to fulfill data customer needs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, with demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with healthcare databases and data warehouses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
