Job Description & Summary

About the team

In the field of technology consulting at PwC, it’s not just about being part of a large company; it’s about seeing how things work in different companies. We are usually right at the center of action, working in project teams that deliver everything from design to the delivery of great, cutting-edge solutions in business and technology for clients primarily in Germany. We continuously develop our skills, not only through client projects but also through other interesting activities. We have six amazing communities where we focus on topics such as New Technologies, Digital Strategies, Business Intelligence, Self Mastery, SAP, Agile, and ESG. As a consultant, you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms.

About the hiring manager

Martin Tomešek is a manager in the Technology Consulting team and leads projects where we collaborate with colleagues in Germany and Austria. Martin has long-term experience in financial consulting and specializes mainly in project management, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and risk management. Martin has delivered many projects for banks and insurance companies in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in Central Asia and Central America. He sees the collaboration between PwC CZ and PwC DE as full of opportunities, innovations, and exciting technologies, and as an ideal environment for personal and professional growth. In his free time, he practices martial arts, fitness, and various adrenaline adventures.

What your role will be
  • You will work on projects for our clients.

  • Analyzing and mapping business requirements.

  • Building and managing relationships with clients on a daily basis.

What you should have
  • A completed university degree.

  • At least 1 year of experience in consulting or financial services.

  • German language skills at the C1 level – active communication with colleagues and clients in German-speaking countries.

  • A passion for technologies and their applications in business.

  • A good understanding of economics and management issues.

  • An open approach to finding innovative solutions.

  • Willingness to learn new tools and solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – essential for everyday life, working with clients and teams.

  • Motivated, ambitious, and hard-working with a friendly mindset.

  • Self-starter and a can-do attitude.

  • Knowledge of Czech/Slovak and English (both required).

What we offer you
  • Career experience from large transformation projects for multinational clients.

  • Working in German – most of our colleagues are native speakers.

  • 55,000 benefit points for sports, meal vouchers, pharmacy, or cultural experiences.

  • Computer and iPhone with unlimited data.

  • Paid time off: 30 days, 3 wellbeing days, and up to 2 extra "Christmas" days off.

  • Flexible work schedule or occasional work from home.

  • Regular professional training in various areas – business, technical, and soft skills, through the Digital Upskilling Academy or our Technology communities, where we hold various training sessions.

  • Support from more experienced colleagues in the team, or even a buddy to help you along the way.

  • A network of interesting people and fun – PwC hosts events every month (e.g., Closing Semester party, Lunch Breaks, and more).

  • Every month, we have TC status meetings where we discuss our projects, followed by a group activity (e.g., karaoke, indoor mini golf, etc.). Be sure to check out what it’s like working in Technology Consulting with us.
