Job Title: Tax Processing Specialist - Contract

Job Description
The main function of the Tax Processing Specialist is to work closely with assigned clients that vary in size and complexity to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely filing of the client's monthly returns and payments.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with clients and taxing jurisdictions via phone and e-mail.
- Format tax data for importing and processing in core software.
- Analyze tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Confirm client approvals and process any requested changes.
- Maintain monthly tax calendars, reconciling and analyzing reports.
- Prepare and submit sales tax registrations on behalf of clients.
- Resolve notices from taxing jurisdictions.
- Participate in the implementation process for new clients.
- Work extra hours when needed.
- Limited flexibility during the peak processing period which is between the 5th and the 20th of each month.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of basic accounting processes and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00
