Job description

Our client provides reliable and customised towage and related marine services to on and offshore terminal operations in any part of the world.

They are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technical Application Manager to join their IT team at the Head-Office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. 

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing business applications that align with global business processes and needs. 

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring the efficient functioning of our applications, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Management: Maintain, enhance, and monitor the functionality of business applications to ensure they meet the needs of the global business processes.

Requirements Assessment: Analyze business process requirements and advise on the selection of new applications to improve operations.

Installation and Upgrades: Manage the installation and upgrading of existing and new business applications.

Testing and Troubleshooting: Test new releases, troubleshoot software problems, and oversee prompt resolutions.

Project Leadership: Lead the planning and implementation of software projects, collaborating with the business and stakeholders to develop technical solutions.

Compliance: Ensure new business applications comply with the company's software policy and create and oversee protocols and procedures for their usage.

Security and Access Control: Monitor application network security, assign access and permission levels, and provide user training.

Documentation: Create and update documentation to maintain data integrity and application security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT).

7 to 10 years of work experience in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Has an eye on the needs of customers.

Problem-solving attitude with attention to details

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Clear and effective communication (in English), both written and verbal.

Proficiency in system design, development, implementation, and user support.

Knowledge of the following business applications is a pre: SharePoint, AX Dynamics, Power BI, and CRM

Experience with MS SQL Server, ETL tools like SSIS and MS Azure Integration services

Experience with data warehousing and integrations.

Experience in training users is an advantage.

Already lives in the Netherlands and/or has the right to work in the Netherlands
