THE OPPORTUNITY

 

NavVis, one of Germany’s most innovative startups, is seeking dynamic and driven Business Development Specialists with a technical background—especially in surveying, civil engineering, or related fields. Join our growing UK team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our UK & Irish market presence!

In this role, you’ll leverage your technical expertise and passion for spatial data and reality capture technologies to drive sales and connect with key players in industries like construction, engineering, and infrastructure. You’ll receive in-depth onboarding and ongoing training designed to refine both technical and business development skills, allowing you to connect deeply with potential clients and progress your career. NavVis’ Business Development team is a group of specialists in our Reality Capture solutions, adept at inbound and outbound lead qualification, sparking curiosity in potential clients, and strategically managing the sales pipeline.

This is a critical position within our company as you will be responsible for developing a pipeline within your region by prospecting for new leads, qualifying and nurturing them into opportunities. Working closely with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers, you’ll help clients understand the full potential of NavVis solutions, while collaborating with Marketing to share insights from the front lines.

The ideal candidate brings not only technical acumen but also creativity to adapt their outreach approach based on specific client needs. This role is ideal for someone with a business mindset, a genuine interest in the latest spatial and surveying technologies, the hunger to overachieve targets, and the ambition to grow their career at a cutting-edge company!

 
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Begin the sales cycle by developing a customer-focused strategy that considers industry-specific use cases, key stakeholders, and the regional sales landscape.
  • Drive revenue growth by generating new leads through targeted prospecting and variety of outreach channels – including email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.
  • Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns, bringing your industry insight to shape effective outreach.
  • Articulate NavVis' value in geospatial and reality capture contexts through clear, technically grounded, value-driven communication that address prospects potential needs.
  • Take full ownership of your accounts, collaborating with Account Executives to maximize pipeline success and contribute to the development of lead generation strategies.
  • Empower your outreach by using NavVis' comprehensive sales toolkit.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events to foster strong network connections.
  • Stay current on NavVis solutions, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

 

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience in surveying, civil engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., sales, business development, or customer support) is a plus, though we also welcome candidates from technical roles who are eager to explore the world of sales and client engagement.
  • Confident approach to cold calling.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Technical and growth mindset with a curiosity for learning new sales skills and a drive to brainstorm creative ways to connect with clients.
  • A proactive “hunter” mentality, with the ability to build relationships and engage clients through various channels.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM applications with strong process management skills.
  • Business fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Work authorization for the UK.
  • Passion for geospatial technology and innovation!
