While the definition of what a business developer's responsibility may vary from one company to another, at Antarctica Global, the more you progress, the more you get exposed to new tasks and responsibilities. In a nutshell, show us your skills, gain trust from our management team and you'll get to explore the world with us!

---------

Here is a glimpse of your potential journey within Antarctica Global.

Business Developer I is an associate entry level, for freshers or young professionals. You will primarily focus on the following:

  • Market Research: You'll conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead Generation: You'll be generating leads to expand our client base, by following our principles and techniques.
  • Data Management: You'll maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using various software
  • Learning and Development: You'll continuously learn about the company's products and services, industry publications, and sales techniques to enhance your skills.
  • Reporting and Analysis: You'll assist in preparing reports to track performance metrics and evaluate business development strategies.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: You'll adapt to new tasks and take initiative to support the team and contribute to company goals.

As you go along the way and prove your capabilities to our team, you will turn, within a year, into a Business Developer II, a junior level that will expose to various new responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: You'll build and maintain relationships with prospects and partners to foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Sales Support: You'll support the sales team by preparing proposals, presentations, and coordinating with internal teams for timely delivery.
  • Client Communication: You'll get to communicate with existing clients to understand their needs, provide information, and address inquiries or concerns.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: You will analyze business development data and metrics to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. You’ll prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to provide insights into our business development activities.
  • Proactivity and Ownership: You'll demonstrate proactivity by taking ownership of tasks and projects assigned to you, seeking opportunities to add value and make meaningful contributions to the team's success.

If you excel at your work, you can, within a couple of years, become a Business Developer III, a senior-level professional having strategic responsibilities within our organization, including:

  • Client Relationship Management: You will nurture and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. You will lead negotiations to secure favorable deals and contracts, including pricing agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and other terms and conditions to maximize revenue and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning: You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business development goals, aligning them with the overall company objectives.
  • Business Expansion: You will drive business expansion initiatives such as entering new markets, launching new products or services, or expanding existing offerings.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: You will provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the business development team. You will mentor them, share industry insights, and help them develop their skills to contribute effectively to the team's success.
  • Risk Management: You will assess and mitigate risks associated with business development initiatives, including market risks, legal risks, and financial risks. You'll develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address potential challenges or obstacles.

More even. We have a planet to transform!

How to Apply

If you're ready to take on this challenging opportunity, here are a few tips and guidelines about your application:

  • This JD is specifically dedicated to Business Development Associates - Level I. If this is not the level you aspire to apply for, please refer to the correct JD on our website.
  • You get only one chance to apply every year. Make sure to pay attention to every detail of your application!
  • Your application starts the moment you apply, by submitting a resume AND a cover letter.
  • We receive thousands of applications so in order for us to qualify early on the most motivated candidates, we only consider applications that have a cover letter, even as short as a couple of sentences, for as long as it mentions - at the least - a strong reason and desire to join our company.
  • Which means, avoid using ChatGPT like thousands of other candidates. Be genuine and sincere, it works and you'll definitely stand out!
  • Spend some time going through our website, get to understand what we do, have a look at our team and tell us how you feel you'll fit in within our organization.

Headquarters

This job is offered to Indian citizens located in Mumbai.

Our offices are located in the historical part of the city, exactly 5 minutes walking-distance from CST Station, an incredibly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site and 15 minutes walking-distance from Churchgate Station. Our offices have large French windows with ample light coming inside and from which you can observe parrots and kites flying in the surrounding centenary trees. We’ve used teak wood and marble for our furniture, and we display lovely artworks on our walls. Not that any of these matter for your application, but we do like the idea that you'd like to settle in Mumbai ;)

While you'll be requested to come to office certain days of the week, we do have a hybrid schedule in place to offer you work from home opportunities at times. Note that we have a normal work week policy with flexible hours from 10am to 6pm. You should be reachable during those hours to make sure the collaboration goes well with the other team members. We do not work on weekends. Weekends are for chilling!

If you're applying from another country with the intention of developing our business in that country, make sure to detail your plan and motivations.
