We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to lead and mentor a small team. As a Software Engineer - Supervisor, you will oversee a high-performing pod within our Software Engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while also managing the growth and performance of your team members. This role combines hands-on technical work with people management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both coding and leadership responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster team growth and success 

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set individual development goals, and support career progression for team members 

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture, encouraging open communication, collaboration, and mutual support 

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and scalability 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives 

  • Drive the successful execution of projects within the pod, managing timelines, setting clear priorities, and proactively addressing any potential roadblocks 

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and improve overall software quality 

  • Act as a liaison between the pod and other teams, ensuring alignment on goals and smooth communication of priorities 

Colorado Residents: Typical pay range for this role will be from $100,000 to $145,000 based on experience.

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in full-stack development and modern technologies 

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, with demonstrated people management skills 

 
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: 

  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, JavaScript, React (React Hooks), TypeScript, GraphQL, etc) 

  • Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide teams to effective technical solutions. 

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management principles 

  • Proven ability to manage performance, coach team members, and foster professional growth 

  • Knowledge of best practices in software engineering, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD 

  • A proactive and growth-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and development
