We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Clinical Analyst - BCBA in the Utilization Management - Behavioral Health (BCBA) Department.

WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Utilization Management Manager - Behavioral Health (BCBA), this position:
- Ensures effective delivery of behavioral health services to Alliance members
- Collaborates with healthcare providers, internal teams, caregivers, and members in the review and evaluation of treatment plans
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a BCBA who holds a masters degree in applied behavior analysis or similar field of study and has an active certification in good standing to join our team. As a Clinical Analyst you will have worked extensively in the field of ABA with expert knowledge of treatment plan review and clinical necessity. This role is ideal for individuals who are ready to pivot (in terms of environment from in the field to working remotely) to utilize your knowledge and expertise to ensure quality and ethical behavioral health services are delivered to our members.

Knowledge of:
- Behavioral Health Therapy (BHT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) best practices
- DHCS and NCQA regulations related to behavioral health and ABA services
- The principles and practices of clinical review and documentation, including BHT authorization and documentation requirements
- Behavior Analyst Certification Board ethical guidelines
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Research, analysis, and reporting methods
Ability to:
- Analyze, interpret, and apply legal, regulatory, and contractual language, policies, procedures and guidelines, and legislative and regulatory directives
- Conduct clinical reviews of behavioral health treatment plans, ensure alignment with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, assess the medical necessity and appropriateness of services, and make recommendations for modifications, as needed
- Take thorough and accurate case notes and maintain organized and accurate records
- Perform data entry into database and EHR systems
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Education and Experience:
- Possession and continued maintenance of current and unrestricted certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or other field of study that has met the requirements for BCBA certification by the BACB
- Two years of experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting, with a focus on performing ABA therapy and behavioral health treatment plan reviews; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
OTHER INFORMATION
- We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
- While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidates qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz)
$78,332—$125,341 USD
Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced)
$71,280—$114,067 USD
