McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for Academic Designer Manager Math programs (Grades 6-12). It is an exciting time for Math at MH! We are looking for passionate people to join our team as we eagerly plan and develop our next generation of program.
Your Impact to the Team
Academic Designer Managers are content and curriculum experts. They assemble high-quality content based on specific product requirements for programs and understanding the solution design. They collaborate with the Academic Design Director and Product Sponsors to help develop the solution design (both conceptualization and implementation).
It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation. The project duration will be until Sept. 2027. This is a remote position with potentially 15% of travel and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
What you will be doing:
Plan and develop culturally responsive, relevant, and sustaining content (including learning objectives, content, activities, and instructional supports) for teacher and student materials-including print, digital, and media projects
Demonstrate strong understanding of secondary math content, pedagogical content knowledge, and mathematics standards.
Produce accurate, error-free, high-quality products that meet curriculum standards and market requirements and that display appropriate content, reading level, grammar, and style
Conduct quality assurance testing of digital assets within a variety of authoring tools, digital platforms, and applications.
Monitor project progress, communicate with fellow team members about projects and develop solutions to address issues.
Manage a team of Academic Designers to develop and maintain high-quality digital and print content based on specific product requirements for programs and understanding the solution design.
Act as an internal math curriculum subject matter expert to collaborate with and provide support to the Academic Design Team and cross-functional teams
Coach, train, encourage, support, and provide feedback to members of the department
You should apply if:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, education, or relevant degree
5-7 years of 6-12 math product development publishing experience
Experience leading academic design (content development) teams.
5 or more years of teaching experience.
Detail oriented and able to edit a variety of materials both digital and print in a timely manner.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work closely with marketing, production, design, and manufacturing to ensure that market requirements, project schedules, and goals are met.
Ability to create, visualize, and lay out content for various delivery formats and classroom settings
Knowledge and skills to create and lead the development of a robust print and digital learning experience aligned to standards and market requirements and expectations.

The pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $100,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
