Job description

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Remote

Work Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-time)\

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team to handle our construction bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, making sure all expenses are properly allocated per property, settling bills, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position plays a critical role in our financial operations, providing essential support to the management team and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare and submit invoices and track payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from management and other departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Expert knowledge in Quickbooks
  • Experience with using Bill.com and Buildertrend
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
  • Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time remote position.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak financial periods.
