About the Project

Getro is on a mission to unlock the hidden potential within professional networks, transforming how people discover and leverage warm introductions for hiring and sales. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on our team, you’ll be crucial in crafting features that both accelerate and enrich every connection, helping our customers find new talent, enhance their sales, and make other impactful professional connections.

You'll develop user-friendly flows, construct data pipelines that supply essential insights, and leverage AI-driven matching algorithms to forge more efficient and meaningful connections. Join us in our quest to make professional networking more personal. The contract is for 6 months, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance and company needs.

Who You Are

  • Automation Specialist: You excel at building efficient automations and simplifying complex workflows. You’re always on the lookout for optimization opportunities and enjoy bringing innovative ideas to life.
  • Technical Expert: You have strong expertise in Ruby, Rails, and web scraping, as well as experience leveraging large language models (LLMs) for automation. Tackling technical challenges with precision is your strength.
  • Impact-Driven: You're motivated to craft solutions that make a real difference in people's professional lives.Your approach centers on simplicity, efficiency, and measurable results.
  • Team Player: You communicate effectively and understand how your work contributes to the bigger picture. You're open to feedback and value transparency in team interactions.
  • Self-Starter: You take ownership of your work, solve problems independently, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.

Required Experience

  • C2 Level English
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Strong background in a startup environment building web applications.
  • Proficiency in Rails and React are musts.
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to our codebase quickly.
  • Strong communicator, able to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively, avoiding ambiguities and misunderstandings.

  • AWS/Cloud Infrastructure Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement elegant user-centric solutions alongside PMs and designers.
  • Work with autonomy on large projects critical to our roadmap, aiming for simplicity and effectiveness.
  • Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
  • Foster an environment of rapid iteration and feedback, contributing to a culture that values innovation, learning, and impact.

  • Our co-founders have been working together in the recruiting space for the last 10 years and are multi-time founders
  • Remote-first company, from 2018 (before covid).

  • As a fully remote company, we don't have offices, but we do get together virtually and in-person for Summits (Germany, Cape Town, San Francisco, Argentina, Portugal.)
