The Chief Medical Officer will have a highly visible role as the medical and clinical voice representing the Company on Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry standards and best practices, emerging trends, new product development and delivery, and serve as an advocate internally and externally for best practices in the field. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will play a pivotal role in driving and executing the clinical vision and strategy of the organization. The Chief Medical Officer will interact with external audiences including clients, payers, pharmacy networks, regulators, and other industry leaders. The Chief Medical Officer will also be accountable for developing and executing PBM client education programs and opinion leader development. This position will manage the clinical team, provide support to sales and marketing efforts, and collaborate across the company to ensure the highest quality of care and operational efficiency.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages assigned staff in the segment area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary.
Client Responsibilities
This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written). One must be able to; manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients.

Education and/or Experience
MD or DO Degree and Board Certification required.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office and Outlook; familiar with industry related software

Other Skills and Abilities
Superior knowledge of executive-level operations management for a corporation preferably in the managed health care environment. Expertise with the advanced functions of Executive Leadership including development of strong working relationships with internal sales and account management as well as the managed care and/or PBM community.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

This is a remote position.
Working Hours
This is a full-time exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Travel
This position requires frequent domestic and international travel. A valid passport and ability to leave the United States is required.
