Job description

This is a 100% remote position for people located in Brazil 🏠

We are looking for a member for the international finance team for the US and UK, assisting internal customers. This will involve carrying out the day-to-day company bookkeeping, raising accounts receivable invoices, posting accounts payable invoices as well as performing balance sheet reconciliations and other month end processes at the end of the each month.
 

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for accounts payable;
  • Responsible for all documentation of invoices and bank vouchers;
  • Responsible for setting-up monthly payment runs for review;
  • Providing accounts receivable support;
  • Raising accounts receivable invoices accordingly to invoicing schedules;
  • Assist and monitor revenue records; 
  • Responsible for communication with suppliers and customers in respect of any delayed payment dates;
  • Assisting in the production of balance sheet reconciliations at month end, including bank accounts, intragroup accounts, tangible and intangible fixed assets, accrued and deferred income, prepayments and accruals and other as relevant; 
  • Assisting in the posting of monthly journals such as payroll,  depreciation, etc. 
  • Preparing monthly P&L analysis for review, comparing the budget and prior month. 
  • Perform capitalizations, write-offs and depreciation of fixed assets; 
  • Working with operations teams on inventory monthly reconciliations;
  • Ensure that all accounting routines comply with legal requirements and internal company policies; 
  • Ensure adherence to international accounting policies (IFRS), local (CPCs) and internal company policies; 
  • Provide support in the service of internal and external audits; 
  • Provide support in the execution of internal control compliance reports.

What you´ll need to succeed in this role:

  • Knowledge of the Office Package (especially Excel)
  • Strong accounting knowledge with ability to understand revenue recognition and other accounting for many different group companies.
  • Familiarity with adaptability with accounting systems - Xero and Quickbooks is preferred but not required;
  • Familiarity and adaptability with banking and other operational systems;

  • At least 2 years of experience on the field
